Cargo/passenger vessel named after the Danish island of Falster.
Launched in 1941, but commissioned only in 1945 due to WWII (slightly damaged by RAF
in May 1945).
Falstria was built for the Europe - S.E. Asia (Bangkok) route but was
initially used for transport of cargo as well as passengers between
Copenhagen - New York service. In December 1949 she
was transferred to her intended service between Europe and Bangkok.
Resumed transatlantic
service in early summer of 1952.
Sold in 1964 to Greek owners, renamed
and reflagged 1964 (Veryr, Panama).
Sold by Greek owners in 1964; to Japanese
shipbreakers, scrapped at Onimich, late 1964.

Delivered to EAC 19th March, 1947 (Nicobar and Serampore
were vessels of this type). Renamed (and reflagged?) 1947
(Tranquebar, Denmark). Named after small island off the coast of
India - a former Danish colony. After an initial trip to freight coal from
Philadelphia to Gdynia and Copenhagen, the vessel was used mainly in EAC's
services to East Asia, subsequently on the Transpacific route, and from
November 1954 again between East Asia and Europe. Sold and delivered to V V
VeerenigdeNederlandsche Scheepss, Hague in August, 1955. Renamed 1955
(Maaskerk), 1966 (Madonna). Scrapped January 1971 at
Kaohsiung.

Originally built as a motortanker for Japanese owners and named Ryuei Maru 2. Confiscated by the British after WW2. Bought by EAC 16/3/49 for the use of in the local trade of EAC's Bangkok branch office. Converted and re-named Taluei. Came under Danish flag and registered at Copenhagen.
Sold February 1951 to John Manners, Hong Kong. Re-named and re-flagged
Linda registered at Panama. In 1952 re-named Isabel. Sold
again 1954 to Ets. Tan-pa & Fils, Saigon and re-named Angkor-Wat.
Seriously damaged 25/4/73 and subsequently sunk in hostile action during a
voyage down the Mekong River.
